New Beads Coming

April 12th, 2010

I just placed several order and got a Bali bead order from Indonesia today. Very pretty things.  I got more flame jasper this time in 15mm coins and 30x40mm ovals. Also some beautiful pink and green tourmaline chips. I’d show you, but the pics are copyright. I’ll photograph them when they come in.

I partbeads_2098_1279443822laced an order with Artbeads and amongst other things, I’m getting these sterling cones.

P7635GLBI also order from Fire Mountain Gems and got some of the items I’ve promised others, and these millefiori glass, turquoise blue and multicolored with silver-colored foil beads. Which I’m hoping are as cool looking in real life as they look in the picture.

Use the Muse IV and Me

April 7th, 2010

I’ve been busy making jewelry and getting it online in the shop. That and trying to get all my parts inventoried and paperwork and my first jewelry party. Yikes!

I’ve also been busy creating a piece for Use the Muse IV. I found this contest through, who is sponsoring the contest. I love their beads and findings. As a novice jewelry designer, I couldn’t wait for the kit to arrive so I could get started. Naturally, once it arrived I took weeks deciding what to do. But I’ve finally finished my piece and have a sneak peek at one little bit of it. We can’t show you the muse. I did some techniques I’ve never done before for this piece. So I had a lot of fun.

Pretty, pretty, pretty aqua terra jasper

December 12th, 2009

I love aqua terra jasper. I’ve just finished a necklace using 10mm aqua terra jasper coin beads and I think it’s the prettiest thing. This is the pretty blue aqua terra jasper…not the greener stuff or the faded stuff…the brilliant aqua blue with sandy beach tones swirled in. Seeing is believing. I’ll have the piece priced and posted to the shop in the very near future.

Copper Wire Working

December 6th, 2009

This is the first time I’ve worked in copper wire for years. This piece isn’t finished, but the main part of the necklace is.

My wish list has a lot of wire working tools on it. When I get my skills up in copper, I’ll start working in sterling silver.
